The roots of Warriors Cycling began in 1989 at a ranch near the old mining town of Gold Hill in the mountains above Boulder, Colorado, with a race called the April Fools Spring Fling. The Arapahoe Warriors Cycling Club was born in 1994, and with that a fundraising race at Keystone was created called the Snake River Mountain Challenge. This grew over it’s 9 year history into a 4-discipline event and became the Finals for the Mountain States Cup State Championship Series which was co-founded and grew before eventually being sold to Yeti.  A focus on endurance racing began in earnest with the Rocky Mountain Ultra Series in 2006, which rebranded as RME in 2009.
