In Episode 64 of the Mr. Wine Guy Podcast I had the privilege of sitting down with Sam Pillsbury, Owner and Winemaker of Pillsbury Wine Company out of Wilcox, AZ.
I am so incedibly excited for this episode for a couple reasons, 1 because this was my first ever LIVE podcast interview, and 2 because this was the first time I've had an Arizona Winemaker on the show which means a lot to me because Arizona is where I live.
In this episode Sam talks about his previous career in the film industry directing and producing over 31 series TV dramas, network TV movies, cable movies, and feature films.
Sam talks about the privilege it is to make wines under his own personal brand Pillsbury Wine Company where he produces over 20 different wines, all from his 100 acre Wilcox Bench Vineyard in Cochise County, AZ.
Sam also shares what it meant to receive Winemaker of the Year in 2017 from the Scottsdale League of Arts and what it means having received nemerous awards for his wines over the years ranging from multiple Gold and Silver medals to even best in class.
