Howdy Friends as most of you know another one of our Legends Leon Rausch was laid to rest Wednesday May 22 2019. He was Born October 2 1927 & passed away May 14 2019 he was 91. The Show will start with a tune from Kenneth Goldsmith. Then one from Coby Carter featuring Jody Nix after which a visit with Coby then another from Coby with Jake Hooker and Leon Rausch. Next we hear one from Leon off Billy Mata's This is Tommy Duncan Trilogy featuring Leon. Followed by a visit with Billy Mata and then a tune from Billy Mata & Texas Tradition. Next a tune from Erik Gordon Swanson and Shoot Low Sheriff on to a visit with Erik and then another tune from Erik & Shoot Low Sheriff. Next is a Tune from Leon then a visit with Jody Nix followed by a tune from Jody. Then a tune from AATW with Leon on Vocal a visit with Jason Roberts and another from AATW with Leon. A Visit with The Legendary Midnight Cowboy Bill Mack. Then a very special piece of History Excerpts from May 13 1975 The Day Bob Wills Passed Away Interview on WBAP with Disc Jockey Jimmy Stewart and Leon Rausch. Then Leon's last Radio Interview. Which was Broadcast on Billy Bowles Swinging Country February 2 2019 Two pieces of Radio recorded History there!!! His last visit on Swinging Country was to extend his appreciation to Tommy Thomsen who came to the KSSL Studio to World Radio Premiere his New CD Timeless Treasures A Tribute to Leon Rausch. So I play the one announced. Then comes a visit with Brady Bowen who worked extensively many times with Leon. I'll spin Two tunes from Brady Bowen & Swing Country featuring Leon on vocal. Then I share a few reflections and close the show out with Five more tunes from The Incomparable Voice of The Texas Playboys in fact the Voice of Western Swing Leon Rausch.
