Our Mission is to change lives by eliminating hunger in the Mid-South. By providing food for families, children and seniors, we impact their lives by solving one of the biggest struggles they face: getting enough nutritious food to eat to live a healthy life.

Cathy Pope, who took over from Estella Mayhue-Greer as president and CEO of the Mid-South Food Bank in August, is concerned with two colors: red and green.
The Mid-South Food Bank serves 31 counties in the region. If a county is "green," that means that those in need are getting fed. Red means there's work to be done.
"You can tell if a food bank is doing well serving their community adequately by the red counties," Pope said.
Six out of the 31 counties under the Mid-South Food Bank are red.
Pope came to Memphis from Mobile, Alabama. There, she was the president/CEO of Feeding the Gulf Coast and wasn't particularly interested in moving.
It was the Mid-South Food Bank's new, 150,000 square-foot warehouse that convinced her.
