This Film Noir may be the grandfather of all police procedurals. Elsa Lanchester, Ricardo Montalban, and Jan Sterling are excellent in Mystery Street (1950). Lanchester is amazing, as the investigation of a murdered B-girl, takes places place using the latest forensic techniques.
