Essentially this saying sums up the belief that waiting is a "good thing," a sign of morality.
And it's even better to have no agitation, to "wait with a smile."
But there are some things in this world where patience is NOT a virtue.
There are some things long overdue.
There are some things that cannot be delayed.
There are some things where being told to be patient comes at too high a cost.
