With Timon and Pumbaa providing their trademark schtick, "Mufasa: The Lion King" asks Rafiki to tell the story of Mufasa to Kiara, a tiny lion cub who is the daughter of Simba and Nala. The plot, which is told in flashbacks, begins with Mufasa as a wandering and lonely orphaned cub until he meets Taka, a lion who is empathetic and descended from royalty. An unusual bunch of misfits embark on a vast adventure to discover their destiny after their fortuitous encounter.
