Welcome to Cold Reads, Episode 2. Cold Reads is a weekly podcast read by Nathaniel Tower. Each week, Nathaniel invites an author to send his or her wildest, funniest, most twisted story. Without reading the story ahead of time, Nathaniel records an audio version, trying to maintain his composure as the author takes the audience on a wild ride. Week 2 brings you "Cheshire Cheese" by Stephen V Ramey. This story comes from his recently published collection GLASS ANIMALS, out now through Pure Slush Books. Stephen V. Ramey is an eclectic writer of very short fictions. He lives in beautiful New Castle Pennsylvania with his wife, the talented novelist and artist, Susan Urbanek Linville, and three ornery cats who see no value in writing, beyond getting the keyboard warm. From his warm keyboard, he edits the annual Triangulation Anthology from Parsec Ink, and the twitterzine trapeze. His first collection, Glass Animals, which includes the story, "Cheshire Cheese" has just been released by Pure Slush Books. Buy it. Read it. Keep it for future generations.
