As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. – Psalm 103:12

When you came to Christ and asked forgiveness of your sin, God forgave and removed your sin. The Palmist says He removed your sin as far as the east is from the west.

The distance between the north and south can be measured. There is a north pole and a south pole. If you travel north long enough, you will begin to traveling south. When it comes to moving east, you can continue forever and never reach the west. East is an unending distance from the west. God took your sin and placed it an infinite distance from you. Your sin is no longer around.

So many Christians, still carry the guilt of sin around with them, even though God has removed their sin. They beat themselves up about past sins and mistakes. They feel inadequate for God to use them, and they never feel the joy of having their sin forgiven. They come to God, again and again, asking forgiveness for sin God has already removed. They don't really believe God has completely taken their sin away. They are not standing in faith when it comes to forgiveness of their sin.
