Because God loves you, He sometimes has to correct you. He does that to make you stronger and to bring you back to Himself. He always does it out of love.
Here's Today's Promise.
My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights. - Proverbs 3:11-12
Many people see the discipline of the Lord as God punishing His children. When something bad happens, their first thought is that God is punishing them. They don't see God as the loving Father who desires the best for them.
