Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you. - Hebrews 13:5

At one time or another, we've all had the painful experience of being forsaken. Maybe it was a friend, who shared hurtful things about you to others. Maybe it was a co-worker or business partner that stabbed you in the back. Perhaps it was a spouse who was unfaithful, or simply decided they wanted out the marriage. Whatever the situation when you are forsaken, it cuts to the very core of your being.

The emotional trauma of being forsaken can last a lifetime and make it difficult to trust others.

Though some may forsake or forget you, God promises He will never forget or turn His back on you. Though everyone else may turn on you, God will always be there for you.

God made this same promise to the great leaders of the Bible. He promised Moses, Joshua, David, and Solomon, just to name a few. These men did mighty things for God because they knew He would be with them.

God also made the promise to a young prodigal who left his family and lived a life of sinful pleasure. God met this young man on the backside of a pig farm and reminded him of a father who would never forget or forsake him.

You may have been hurt in the past, but God will never leave you. You can do mighty things for the kingdom because God is with you.
