Description

But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. - 1 John 1:7 (NASB)

Everyone struggles with sin. From the newest Christian to the oldest saint; sin is something we all wrestle with.

When Jesus died on the cross, He carried your sin with him. When you came to Christ through faith, every sin you have ever committed was forgiven.

Forgiveness is how God dealt with your sin. Sin requires payment. That payment is death. Jesus' death on the cross made payment for your sin. The wall that separated you and God was removed.

Not only have you been forgiven, but you have been cleansed of your sin.

So many Christians have a hard time accepting God's forgiveness. They carry needless guilt and shame. They can't seem to shake their identity with their sin. They see themselves more as a sinner than as a saint. I heard a preacher once ask, "Are you a sinner, trying to live like a Christian, or are you Christian who sometimes falls into sin?"
