So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened. - Luke 11:9-10
This promise is one of those Bible verses we know, but rarely practice. It's a great verse to frame and put on the wall, but a better verse to live by.
Prayer is not a one-time act. It's not just saying a prayer, and then moving on with life. Jesus tells us to ask, and then keep on asking; to seek and keep on seeking; to knock and keep on knocking.
When you keep on asking, seeking, and knocking, you have the promise that God hears and answers your prayer.
