Jesus taught that when you pray, you speak to your Heavenly Father. He said like an earthly father, your Heavenly Father gives good gifts to His children.
Here's today's promise.
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! - Matthew 7:11
How you see God greatly effects how you pray.
So many Christians have a poor understanding of their Heavenly Father. They have forgotten that their father in heaven wants to give good gifts to His children.
Just as a good early father takes care of His children. Your Heavenly Father will take care of you. He has your best interest at heart.
