Today's Promise: ! Samuel 7:12
The prophet Samuel had called the people together for a time of repentance, prayer, and worship. When the Philistines heard of their meeting, they attacked the children of Israel.
God brought giant claps of thunder that confused and terrified the Philistines. Because of God's help, Israel won the victory. In response to God's protection, Samuel built a monument to remind the people that up to this point, God had helped them.
When we remember God's goodness and help in the past, it gives us the strength to face the problems and worries of today.
