Welcome to the first interview of the Next Canon Podcast! Today Hayden and I will be talking all about the canon. My personal definition of the theatrical canon is the group of shows that are most generally taught and known by theatre artists and theatre goers. We are taking this moment of pause in the theatre community to talk about how we can take action to update the shows being celebrated in our community and move into the future.
Hayden Irving Ware (he/they) is an actor, musician and writer on an "extended sabbatical" from the arts industry. Armed with a BFA in Acting in Musical Theatre from Cornish College of the Arts. They plan to someday, maybe, possibly get back into the theatre scene. Until then, they are content to make lattes and cocktails during the day, and over-analyze media and play taylor swift songs on the piano at night.
