Today Ayo and I talk about her experience creating theatre and attending school in predominantly white populations. We discuss learning and unlearning as well as how the canon needs to be improved to join the changing world.

Ayo is a Seattle based actor and activist with a passion for creating art for the stage and creating important change in an ever- shifting world. In addition to recent ventures as a teaching artist, she has enjoyed working with many local theatres. Her most recent performances Cafe Nordo, Living Voices, ACT, Intiman, Seattle Public Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Company, and Intiman Theatre. She currently is serving on the board of directors for The Seagull Project.
