Are people in active addiction not aware of the risk?
From Matt in Ep. 009: "I actually for some reason, I just always believed bad things wouldn't really happen to me. I wouldn't die. I wouldn't go to prison. So when I went, the reality of the situation was setting in when we were in line to eat… and it comes across the news, WSAZ - 6 people arrested."
I met Matt at a Community Based Correctional Facility. I worked there. He lived there.When he left that facility he went to a treatment program.
When he left the treatment program, he went to a transitional living house. When he left transitional, he moved into a sober house.
Today, Matt is a Dad, Counselors Assistant, certified personal trainer, competitive powerlifter, and my co-worker.
