Grand Theft Parsons is the story of Phil Kaufman and his journey to fulfill a promise to a recently deceased friend. The friend was Gram Parsons, a talented and famous country singer. The promise was to take Gram's body out to Joshua Tree and let his spirit free. It's a very interesting story there, but there is a lot more to this underrated movie.
