Have you ever assigned a project to your team or employee just to have it overlooked or put on the back burner? Why do they do that? Well, I've dealt with the same things and I've learned that these people are working hard, but at times we forget to provide the clarity and vision behind these projects.
Helping them understand that if you do this, it will help your workload with that. Once they understand the big picture they are more likely to tackle that project head on. If you have done a good job communicating clarity and vision, that employee may not be a core value match and it may be time for them to find a job better suited to their talents and abilities.
