In the second quarter of 2022, Twitter recorded 243.8 million daily active users; Snapchat, 347 million. In June 2022 alone, Facebook (Meta) recorded 1.97 billion daily active users worldwide. A post on any social media platforms can spread far beyond an individual user's immediate circle of influence. As a result, nurses, in particular, must be wary of their engagement with social media platforms.
