In this video, I discuss the trade-offs between owning Bitcoin, a primary residence, and investment properties.

As a digital asset, Bitcoin is a much better store of value than real world assets like real estate that are subject to entropy and require substantial infusions of cash for things like maintenance, insurance, property taxes, security, etc.

Bitcoin is obviously more portable and unconfiscatable as well.

If you're worried about WW3 or civilizational collapse, it might make sense to sacrifice some of your Bitcoin stash to get a foreign passport or residency in a safer location-- or to pick up a remote property where you can be self-sufficient (garden, food, power generation, self-defense).

Every decision involves trade-offs, and there's no "one size fits all solution."
