This evening in our Africa Talks segment we’ll look at the announcement by the Department of basic education to possibly make history compulsory in schools following the recommendation by a task team that was looking into of feasibility of implementing this. According to the South African Democratic Teachers Union, local history should be taught to students to help build a united nation. Ntate Izak Khomo joins us now in studio to look at this in detail.
