2017 has been a year full of political turmoil and social uncertainty in the world, with the year starting off with the inauguration of Donald Trump who has been seen as fuelling right wing enthusiasts. Meanwhile Africa experienced a number of elections, a few which were muddled by controversy and others leading a way for new presidents in the midst of historical trend of presidents reigning beyond the limit of their terms.
