The 8th BRICS Summit is currently underway in India under the theme "Building Responsive, Inclusive and Collective Solutions". The member countries are deliberating on intra-BRICS Cooperation and on global issues such as international conflicts, the fight against terrorism, and reform of global system of governance, notably the democratisation of the United Nations and the Bretton Woods Institutions. The role of developing countries in leading efforts to bolster global growth has come under sharp focus during the summit. Amongst other issues that are being discussed are, global terrorism and climate change.
