The South African economy is not doing well and the brunt of that is felt by all South Africans. President Cyril Ramaphosa when he took office in 2018 talked about the “new dawn” that had come to South Africa. But since his taking of office we have seen VAT go up from 14% to now 15%, petrol hiking by a whooping 85c/l and to add to that the economy shrunk by 2.2% in the 1st quarter. In April the president announced an investment team that is supposed to attract foreign investment in the country. But today we ask with the poor performance of the S.A economy, what happened to the “New Dawn” or is this it?
