We go to our last segment now where we zoom into a particular issue in a country and today we zoom into our neighbouring country Zambia. A court has acquitted Health Minister Dr Chitalu Chilufya on all four charges of being in possession of property suspected to be from the proceeds of crime. The minister was arrested in June this year; the court ruled that the prosecution had brought insufficient evidence against him. Prosecutors had alleged that the health minister, on four separate occasions, used money believed to be proceeds from crime to acquire property, shares in a tourism firm and a passenger boat from the United Arab Emirates, in the period between December 2016 and January 2018.
