Foreign aid from developed countries to Africa is dwindling – countries are focussed on domestic issues of covid 19 and are unable to support African countries as they would have during HIV/AIDS, TB and ebola. Where does this leave Africa post Covid? IMF estimated Africa will need R1.85-trillion in new funding in 2020 to tackle the socio-economic impact of the pandemic.
