Description

Africa has currently seen the launch of new low cost airlines such as Fastjet which has recently commenced flights between Dar es Salaam and Harare. Since low cost routes opened in Africa, prices have dropped by around 40%. According to a study by Intervistas passenger number have risen by almost half. However some low cost airlines say in order to protect international state owned airlines governments are blocking competitors.
