Description

The African Union Commission is under transition with the appointment of the newly elected chairman Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chad’s foreign minister. With the exit of the Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma the continental body will also replace its chair. The new African Union chair will be Guinean President Alpha Conde who replaces Chadian President Idris Debby. In this change the new African Union Commission head would have about three months to set up his cabinet.
