: According to an Oxfam report Sub-Saharan Africa which is home to approximately 950 million people is the most electricity-poor region. More than 600 million people lack access to electricity, and millions more are connected to an unreliable grid that does not meet their daily energy service needs. Most countries in this region have electricity access rates of about 20%, and two out of three people lack access to modern energy services. Now the African Utility week brings together over 7000 decision makers to source the latest solutions and meet over 300 suppliers. It focuses on all aspects of the provision of energy services to the African market.
