Description

The Annual Mining Indaba is currently underway in Cape Town, South Africa. The indaba has seen mining giants converge at the ICC to discuss pressing issues that are prevalent in the mining sector. The South African minerals minister Mosebenzi Zwane gave a keynote address in an attempt to boost geomapping in the country and the importance of exploration. Meanwhile some analysts say he failed to address was the acrimonious dispute between his department and mining companies in South Africa over the controversial mining charter introduced in June last year.
