Description

Nigeria's militant Islamist group Boko Haram - which has caused havoc in Africa's most populous country through a wave of bombings, assassinations and now abductions - is fighting to overthrow the government and create an Islamic state. Their latest attack being the Baga killings last week ; the figures of a death toll between 150 to 2000 people has been making its rounds in media. The 2015 Baga massacre has been described as a series of mass killings and attacks believed to have been committed and still ongoing in the Nigerian town of Baga and its environs, in the state of Borno, between 3 January and 7 January 2015 by the terrorist organization Boko Haram.
