Britain is to be excluded from a meeting of European Union leaders later, the first this has happened for more than 40 years. The other 27 EU member states are holding formal talks over the implications of last week's British vote to leave the bloc. Meanwhile, the leader of the main opposition Labour party, Jeremy Corbyn looks certain to face a challenge after refusing to stand down, despite an overwhelming vote of no confidence by his MP's.
