The priorities and themes of the 10th BRICS Summit, ranging from peacekeeping to collaboration around the 4th Industrial Revolution, were all touched on when the leaders of the 5 emerging economies - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa - spoke in Sandton, Johannesburg yesterday. Each gave a short address, after which they left to attend to the signing of memorandums. In his closing remarks, South Africa's president Cyril Ramaphosa said following a proposal by his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, they have decided to deepen a 'people to people' component in BRICS..
