This week sees the start of the Durban International Film Festival in South Africa. The event will celebrate its 36th edition and runs from 16 to 26 of July. This years festival will see presentations over 290 screenings of current films from around the world, with strong focus on South African and African cinema. 50 filmmakers from Africa are going to take part. The film indusrty on the continent seem to be dominated by those with the best economies such as Nigeria, Egypt and South Africa.
