Research organisation Oxfam warns that around 12 000 people per day could die from covid-19 linked hunger by the end of the year, this potentially more than the damage the disease itself can cause. This is as a lot of economies around the world take a knock because of the covid-19 lockdowns. Many companies have had to close shop, whilst others had to lay off workers in a bit to stay afloat, thus removing food on the table of many.
