The ANC wants South Africa to begin a process of withdrawing from the International Criminal Court because it believes the ICC has lost its direction. That’s according to the party's international relations subcommittee chairperson Obed Bapela. He made this announcement on Sunday during the last day of the 3day National General Council of the ANC. He has further said there were a handful of powerful countries which refused to be members of the international court, yet they still had the power to refer matters to the court.
