Lebanon's government has resigned amid mounting anger over the explosion on Tuesday that devastated parts of Beirut and left more than 200 people dead. Lebanese protesters took to the streets of Beirut this past weekend to demonstrate against the government's handling of the port explosion on that killed at least 154 people during the week. Riot police fired tear gas at demonstrators trying to break through a barrier to get to the parliament building in central Beirut. More than five-thousand others were injured in the capital when a warehouse storing large quantity of ammonium nitrate exploded after catching fire.
