The Kingdom of Lesotho is once again under the spotlight, this after a faction in the National Executive Committee of the Prime Minister Pakalitha Mosisili’s party the Democratic Congress, announced it would be withdrawing from the country’s coalition government. The party has been riddled with factionalism for months with the Deputy Leader Monyane Moleleki allegedly forming coalitions with the opposition parties. At the peak of the faction’s reasons for the withdrawal, they accuse the coalition government of failing to uphold the rule of law. This happens after SADC Facilitator and South African Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa had a meeting with the country’s opposition leaders over the ongoing peace and stability efforts.
