The Mining Indaba took place last week in Cape Town and brought together mining experts from twenty five African countries to discuss good governance and sustainable practices in the sector. The key themes this year of the indaba were collaboration and inclusiveness. Despite the optimistic theme there main criticism was how mining doesn’t benefit African communities.
