The latest in South Sudan: the United Nations Security Council have placed an arms embargo on South Sudan in an effort to reduce the impact of the infighting on civilians. This comes after years of deliberations by the UN-Security Council about the volatile country. The genesis of the war emanates from the accusations by President Salva Kiir that his deputy Riek Machar was plotting a coup, these claiming thousands of lives.
