Xenophobia once again reared its ugly tail in Pretoria, South Africa. Angry local residents shutdown the Pretoria CBD, as they marched against foreign nationals accusing them of paddling drugs into the country. The march started in Attrageville West of Pretoria then it proceeded to the city centre where shops belonging to foreign nationals were targeted and looted. What was supposed to be a peaceful demonstration soon turned into a warzone as foreign nationals also took to the streets in retaliation of the gross violation. Police had to use stun grenades and rubber bullets to control the altercation between the two groups.
