Description

A two-day summit entitled : Global Watch, Say No To Racism-Discrimination in all Sport begins in Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday 20th November. The event will host speakers such as Sepp Blatter, President of the world soccer governing body FIFA, Former South African President Thabo Mbeki and many others. The aim being to address the phenomenon internationally, and follows incidents such as the black American tennis players Venus and Serena being referred to as the Williams brothers in Russia, and Soccer player Mario Malotelli being called many racial terms among his own country fans during Italy's World Cup training camp. To help us preview the summit, we have Professor John Samuel, the Strategic Advisor of Global Watch, and South Africa's member of the International Olympic Committee, Sam Ramsamy::
