The G20 Summit in China’s lakeside city of Hangzhou has come to a close, but for all of the country’s preparations, analysts opine that diplomatic wrangles and unrealised ambitions dominated the proceedings. Global economic leaders stepped up warnings that the populist mood sweeping many developed nations is a threat to trade and growth, calling from the side-lines of the Group of 20 summit for governments and businesses to fight to keep goods flowing across borders.
