Description

South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa is finally appearing before the State Capture Commission. Speaking about the ruling party African National Congress’ cadre deployment policies, Ramaphosa said the appointments of individuals, such as Brian Molefe, Matshela Koko, Arthur Fraser and Dudu Myeni, to key positions at state owned enterprises bypassed the ANC’s deployment committee. Meanwhile the opposition party Democratic Alliance has criticised Ramaphosa for defending the cadre deployment committee, which he once chaired.
