Description

Thousands of herds of livestock have been lost across the continent as a result of the on-going dry spell. Agricultural communities are still struggling to stay afloat as severe drought led to record livestock and crop losses. Agricultural experts warn that food prices are set to rise substantially as low local production will soon struggle to meet demands. The price of meat has shot up while the brand of the drought is felt by the farmers at the ground level.
