Description

The People’s Tribunal on Economic Crime in South Africa is expected to wrap up its work later today. The South African people’s tribunal on economic crime is the first tribunal of its kind to focus primarily on economic crimes and corruption. The tribunal will examine a range of issues such as apartheid era economic crime, the post-apartheid Arms Deal and state capture. The people’s tribunal is a way that citizens can take action by collecting and discussing evidence that can be used to hold those responsible to account, as many of these crimes contributed to the loss of lives during that time.

To discuss this further we are joined by:

• Alfred Tshabalala Member of organising committee of the tribunal and works with Right2Know

• Stanley Henkeman Executive Director at the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation

• Marc Davies Engagement editor at Huffington Post
