An icon has fallen, South Africa and the world are coming to terms with the death of anti-apartheid struggle heroin Winnie Madikizela – Mandela. South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared twelve days of mourning and all flags across the country and at all South African missions abroad are flying at half-mast until the evening of the struggle icon’s funeral. The mother of the nation as she was affectionately known died on Monday after a prolonged illness beside her family. Messages of condolences have been pouring in from all over the world since news of her death broke.
