Description

World Immunisation Week is a global public health campaign to raise awareness and increase rates of immunisation against vaccine-preventable diseases such as tetanus, whooping cough, hepatitis B, measles, mumps among others. This year’s theme is Protected Together, #VaccinesWork’— highlights the need to improve paediatric vaccination rates globally, as the WHO estimates they have been stuck at 86% over the past year. Immunisation saves millions of lives and is widely recognised as one of the world’s most successful and cost-effective health interventions.
